I went, I came back, few people realized it. No big deal... for everyone else, but for me it was a great deal. Bottom line: five days, six countries, five key stops. An interesting trip, worth the lack of sleep and the tiring road. And since a picture's worth a thousand words, be prepared for a 'literary flood'.
The main destination was of course, Cluny. A picturesque (some would say creepy) small French town, not to call it a village, for one day and two nights.
We spent the second day in Lyon, a charming city, although after we reached Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière and enjoyed the city skyline, we also 'enjoyed' a beautiful French summer downpour.
Third day... Nice, Cote d'Azur. Simply speechless. Although I didn't quite get the rocks on the beach philosophy. I'm used to (and expected) silky sand on beaches... but no... the French do it differently.
Fourth day... we ended up in Bregenz, a kind of a German Cluny. Rain, fog, cold, although with a nice lake that acts as a tourist attraction.
The last day... was beautiful. It started out like a pesimistic, gloomy, let's go home kind of day, and just as we were getting close to our chosen tourist destination NEUSCHWANSTEIN (can you spell that?!?!) the sun came out, we enjoyed the place, took lots of photos and headed back home.
The conclusion... wonderful few days, a couple of places more that I can scratch off my "to visit list'' and what's more to say than 'Thanks guys (Flo&Marce) for this Eurotrip'.
And I think you've guessed by now... 'Scotty doesn't know' is from 'Eurotrip', the movie (if you haven't seen it yet, check it out, you'll have a blast).
